Taping for calf pain
Position during application
The limb is flexed at the ankle to achieve stretching of the taped area.
Application procedure
1. Measure the GEM tape from the bottom of the heel to about 5 cm below the knee socket.
2. Cut the teepee in half (this creates the so-called. Y tape), leave approx. 7 cm long anchor at one end. Round the corners.
3. Stick the anchor of the tape without pulling on the skin under the heel.
4. One side of the Y-tape follows the relief of the Achilles tendon and the belly of the calf muscle. Keep the tape in a very slight tension and glue the end of the tape without tension about 5 cm below the knee socket. Iron along the entire length of the tape. Glue the other side as well.
