Pain relief without unnecessary chemistry

Use of tapes

Kinesiology tape is a colored tape that is designed to facilitate the natural healing process or stability of the muscles, tendons and joints that are currently affected. Examples of taping with elastic tape: muscle and joint pain, swelling, edema, scarring, prevention and support.

Functions of the tape measure

When the tape is applied correctly and then wrinkled, the tape lifts the skin and pain receptors, blood vessels and lymph flow are released. The elasticity of the tape also plays an important role. Depending on the choice of tension (stretch) of the tape when gluing, the tape will perform the effect that is needed. For example, to activate the muscle, soothe or firm the problem area.

What tapes will last

There are no limitations that come with the adhesive tape. The caps have great features that allow you to perform normal activities without any problems.

Take a shower - you really don't need to wrap your bandaged ankle in plastic while bathing.. the tape is waterproof.

Visit the sauna - the tape will not sweat off your body or peel off.. is completely breathable.

Run - you don't have to worry about the tape giving up along the way.. adapts to your movement and copies it exactly thanks to the elasticity of the material.

Medical resin

The adhesive on the bottom of our tapes contains medical grade resin with no added substances and is hypoallergenic. The adhesive is applied to the tape in a sinusoidal form. This wave form causes the mechanical effect of the elastic band. Latex-free!

Differences between tapes

Material - the most commonly used material is cotton. However, we also encounter other materials such as silk and nylon.

Adhesion - some tape will last 2 days (especially the cheap ones). The average durability of the tape is 5 to 7 days.

Length - on the market we meet with already "pre-cut" tapes. However, length may not be sufficient. It is better to measure the tape accurately from the roll as a whole.

How to tape yourself

The basis of everything is dry, clean, degreased and preferably shaved skin. If you underestimate the preparation of your skin, the tape may not stick properly, it does not perform its function and you often just decorate yourself with colourful stripes. You can find out how to properly tap dance each part of your body in our detailed instructions.

Gentle tape removal

Remover removes elastic tape and acrylic adhesive residue from the skin painlessly. It also cares for your skin with herbal extracts that soothe, regenerate and nourish at the same time. It is suitable for children and pregnant women.

Shapes of tapesTEJP

How we cut the tape

I tejp - the most universally used shape of tejp. It can be applied alone or combined with the Y Tape.

Y tape - most often used when we need to wrap the whole muscle.

Lymphatic drainage - used for lymphatic drainage. The anchor of the tape is glued closest to the site of the lymph nodes.

X Tape - suitable for application in places where the beginning and tendon of the muscle changes depending on the movement.

Cross Tape (grid tape) - suitable for painful areas anywhere on the body, to affect trigger points in muscles and acupuncture points.

Concepts in taping

Anchor, base, tension...

Anchor - the initial part of the tape, which is always glued without tension. The length of the anchor is about 3 cm.

The end - the final part of the tape, which is also always glued without tension. Length again approx. 3 cm.

Base - the section between the anchor (the beginning of the tape) and the end of the tape. Depending on the desired effect, different base tensions are selected.

Tension - stretching the tape (using the elasticity of the material)

Ironing - the final step. Warming up the tape by swiping the tape to improve adhesion.

Adhesion - grip

YOUR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I hurt myself by tattooing?

If you follow the instructions and do the basic application you don't need to worry, you would have to apply the tape incorrectly for a long time and even so we have not had any cases of the tape causing harm. Here again, the rule applies, if the indication needs the consultation of a specialist, visit him. I always give an example. When we have a temperature we take paracetamol, here we would use a tape for example for back pain. If the temperatures do not subside, I will see a doctor to see if I no longer need antibiotics, here I will go to a specialist who will advise me

I got blisters after I put the tape on

It is not a bad tape, but too much tension, stretching the tape during application. The body simply defends itself. Remove the bandage and allow the area to heal. It is beautiful to see and listen to your body. We don't see that when we swallow pills, so what's going on in the stomach and liver when we overuse drugs?

After sticking the tape on the body "wrinkles", what did I do wrong?

You have done everything correctly, just the wrinkling is a sign that you have glued the tape correctly in the stretching of the body and without tension

Can I use tapes even if I don't play sports?

Yes, tapes are for everyone. You could say that they help us the most in everyday life.

I have sensitive skin, are tapes suitable for me?

Only certified materials are used in the production of our tapes, so the medical resin glue is of the highest quality and is hypoallergenic and can be used by children. For a full check, we recommend to perform a small test before use and stick the tape on the inside of the forearm to see if I can use the tape.

What are the most common places of application of grid tape

For headaches we stick small grids on the temples, for neck pain after lying down we use large grids and stick them on the most painful places that we feel ourselves - we always stick on both sides, for wrist pain we stick medium size or large grids directly on the place where I feel pain, for insomnia we have tested places that we have given you in the instructions and you can find them on the blog, for a mosquito or wasp bite as soon as we find out that it stings us, we stick a small grid on that place

What color tape should I choose to tape my knee or back?

The colour of the tape has no influence on the function of the tape, the best choice is a colour that is comfortable for you or, to match your clothes, a discreet colour that will not be visible.

Your tapes last a long time, I can leave them on for more than 10 days

One application of the tape is recommended max. 7 days, the optimal length is 5 days. After several days, it is no longer possible to guarantee the elasticity of the fibre in the material of the tape, which reduces the effectiveness of the tape. One could say that the tape no longer serves its function and is no longer used as an ornament. By replacing the tape, you will achieve proper function and faster relief and recovery.

I've heard that if I use tape glue it lasts longer on my skin, why don't you have glue on offer

The vast majority of tape adhesives are only suitable for rigid tapes, which unlike elastic (kinesiology) tapes do not contain resin adhesive. Furthermore, on kinesiology tapes, the resin adhesive is applied in sine waves, which affect the mechanics of the tape. The use of adhesive disrupts its functioning. We do not offer adhesive because we do not offer solid tape for fixing. Our branded tops have excellent adhesion when all application principles are followed, so there is no need to use additional adhesive.
