PROLEN® SILTEX is a special polypropylene yarn treated with a permanent antimicrobial additive based on silver ions.
PROLEN® SILTEX is effective against bacterial growth and reduces viral activity, helping to reduce unpleasant odors and maintain hygienic freshness.
The antibacterial effect of silver has been known for many centuries.
Silver ions inhibit the growth of bacteria, reduce unpleasant odors, maintain the biological balance of the skin, and provide the product with hygienic freshness during sports and leisure activities. Given that the bacteriostatic agent is applied to the core of the yarn and not its surface, it does not migrate from the fabric and remains permanently even after multiple washes. In addition to antibacterial activity, Prolen® Siltex has high antiviral activity.PROLEN® SILTEX was created for underwear, sportswear, workwear, socks, filling material for shoes, bedding, linings, and upholstery to provide protection in environments that require high hygiene standards.
Certificates and Test Reports
Antibacterial properties of Prolen® Siltex are confirmed by laboratory tests according to the AATCC TM 100: 2012 standard (tested on Escherichia Coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Staphylococcus aureus > reduction by 99%)
Antiviral properties of Prolen® Siltex are confirmed by the testing protocol according to ISO 18184: 2019 (tested against SARS-CoV-2 with a reduction > 99% and Influenza A virus subtype H1N1 with a reduction > 99%).
PROLEN®SILTEX meets the requirements of the Oeko-tex® Standard 100, appendix 6 - products of class 1 for infants.
TREVIRA BIOACTIVE ANTIMICROBIAL BRAND
Trevira Bioactive forms the basis for fabrics with permanent bioactive properties.
These properties prevent the multiplication of bacteria in or on the fiber, thus improving hygiene.Overview of Benefits
Contains an active ingredient with permanent antimicrobial effects
Inhibits the growth of bacteria in and on the fiber
Proven to have no effect on skin flora
Tested for body compatibility
Increases and improves cleanliness
Provides a feeling of freshness
Inhibits microbial odor development in textiles
Properties of Trevira fabrics: they are elastic, durable, breathable or heat-regulating, and the antimicrobial function is created using bioactive Trevira fibers.
Trevira Bioactive textiles made from these fibers contain built-in protection against microorganisms. Biotic fibers Trevira protect textiles by minimizing the growth of bacteria in and on the fabric.Unlike products that are treated with post-production or finished with substances likely to migrate into the environment, Trevira Bioactive has an antimicrobial agent that is firmly integrated into the fiber polymer.
This ingredient has a lasting antimicrobial effect.Tested for assurance
Comprehensive tests conducted by independent external laboratories have demonstrated that Trevira bioactive fibers have an antimicrobial effect, indicating that the bioactive component prevents the exponential growth of bacterial populations on the fiber surface.
