The VitaminD Test by Zinzino is a simple self-test that, after collecting capillary blood from a finger, allows for the analysis of vitamin D levels using the dried blood spot (DBS) technique. Only 1 to 2 drops of blood from a fingertip placed on Whatman® filter paper are needed, and the procedure will take less than a minute.

The level may vary throughout the year depending on sun exposure, diet, where you live, and dietary supplements.

Therefore, the recommended interval between individual tests is 120 days. Using your personal test ID, you will receive detailed personal recommendations based on your vitamin D levels.

What we measure
There are various methods for assessing the status of vitamin D in your body. We use a proven method to ensure that the accuracy of our analysis is improved. The 25-hydroxyvitamin D test is the best way to determine vitamin D levels because it measures 25(OH)D, also known as calcifediol, in your blood.

The test takes into account all three sources of vitamin D - food, dietary supplements, and skin synthesis. Then it determines whether your vitamin D level is optimal, too high, or too low.
